Accreditation

CalArts is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, 985 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 100, Alameda, CA 94501, (510) 748-9001.

CalArts is also a full member of the National Association of Schools of Music, Dance, and Theater. The institute's School of Art is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. Information concerning these organizations and their decisions is available in the Office of the Provost.

The Office of the Provost has assembled a WASC Steering Committee made up of active and enthusiastic members representing a wide range of CalArts communities which will be guiding the Institute through this reaffirmation of accreditation process.
