CalArts alumni projects Ratatouille and El Tigre win multiple Annie Awards

 
Honoring the best in animation for 2007, the Annie Awards bestowed nine awards to CalArts alumnus Brad Bird’s (76) project Ratatouille. Pixar Animation's tale of a rat who wants to become a chef, won the award for best feature production, writing and directing, best voice acting, best character animation, music, storyboarding, and production design.

 
In the television categories, El Tigre on Nickelodeon by the husband-and-wife team of Jorge R. Gutierrez (MFA 00) and Sandra Equihua won for best animated production for children and character design.
