Martin Kersels Featured in Two Major Exhibitions

2008 Guggenheim Fellow Martin Kersels launches two significant Southern California exhibitions. This fall, the Santa Monica Museum of Art and Acme Gallery in Los Angeles will feature work by the Co-Director of CalArts’ Program in Art. Opening on September 13, at the Santa Monica Museum of Art, Martin Kersels: Heavyweight Champion, is the first retrospective exhibition by this influential and pioneering artist. Spanning the years from 1994 to 2007, the exhibition includes multi-media artworks ranging from small sculptures, to large-scale photographs and monumental installations. The exhibition Martin Kersels will appear at the Acme Gallery beginning on October 4.
