Part-Time Ballet Faculty Position

The California Institute of the Arts, Sharon Disney Lund School of Dance seeks an established artist/teacher, currently active in the field, to teach Ballet Technique,Mentorand Choreograph.

Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years professional dance experience, a minimum of five years teaching experience and a history of choreographic work.  A BFA or advanced degree in dance or dance studies and/ or 3 years of college/university teaching experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities: To teach all levels of ballet technique to graduate and undergraduate students, choreograph for faculty dance concerts; advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students on concerts/creative projects in fulfillment of their BFA and MFA degrees; to serve on department committees.  Ability to teach other areas of ballet preferred but not required.
